Welcome Back!
Welcome back to Term 3 everyone! We have had a fantastic start to the term. It has been wonderful to see our students happy and smiling. We have an action-packed term ahead with lots of exciting events coming up. Please be sure to check Compass regularly and look out for announcements.
New Bike Racks
Over the holidays our new bike racks were installed in the undercover area between the admin building and the hall. These bike racks were purchased through our school fundraising. For any students who wish to ride to school, please park your bike in one of the racks and take your helmet with you, to your classroom.
Early Arrivals
As we get back into the routine of school and life, please ensure your children are not dropped off to school too early in the morning. Unfortunately, we have had a number of students dropped off between 8-8:30am. This is too early, and children who are required to be dropped off prior to 8:30am will need to be booked in to the Out of School Hours Care program. The school yard is supervised by staff from 8:45am. If you need to organise before school care, please contact Elysium for the remainder of this term.
Uniforms
School uniforms promote connectedness, pride, and community by fostering a sense of equality and unity among students. Uniforms instil pride in our school, encouraging students to represent Baxter PS positively. Please ensure your child is wearing FULL school uniform each and every day. This includes neutral-coloured socks (white, black or navy), hair free from hair dye, no makeup and no fake nails. School Council will be reviewing the School Uniform Policy at our next meeting. If your child is out of uniform, please send a note to their classroom teacher.
Upcoming Parent Teacher Interviews
Please note that parent teacher interviews will take in Week 5 on Tuesday 13th August. Please keep an eye out on Compass for further information.
Book Week
Our annual Book Parade is a wonderful tradition here at Baxter. For families who would like to start planning costumes, the parade will be on Wednesday 21st August from 9:15am-10am, in the hall. We can’t wait to see the student’s wonderful Book Week costumes!
Wishing everyone a fabulous rest of the week! Mr Schneider will be back in Week 4 so he will be back on the principal report, next newsletter!
We acknowledge the Bunurong people, the Traditional
Owners of the land on which Baxter Primary School resides, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
