Allied Health Update
Welcome!
Roni is a teaching artist from Songroom, as a part of a three-year program called Transformational Learning through Creativity. She will be onsite every Friday, working closely with staff to develop Arts programs that make a sustainable impact on student learning and engagement at school. She has already started working with the graduating students on a graduation performance and assisting our music therapist Bingyao in choir sessions.
This term we will also be welcoming a third Occupational Therapist to our Allied Health Team. Tiffany has been working as an OT for the past 5 years in the Mornington Peninsula and Geelong areas. Tiffany is extremely knowledgeable in Paediatric OT therapies, including developing sensory diets and Interoception. Tiffany is passionate about her work and looking forward to starting her role at Hamlyn Views School.
Our OT's have been busy creating travel plans for our students so they can access the school buses for excursions. This has been very exciting for those classes who have been out and about in the community.
We continue our therapy programs and those involved are working very hard. There has been lots of standing, walking, hydrotherapy and bike riding happening around the school and it is great to see. Well done to everyone!
