Letter to Family and Friends

Dear Pilgrim Families,

This term I have had the pleasure of launching Belong and Blossom, our playgroup at Pilgrim School. It has been a wonderful experience and opportunity to connect with families and children who have not begun school but are either siblings or children yet to begin their school journey. 

Playgroup is a time to chat with other parents and share parenting stories and helpful tips with each other. It is a wonderful time for children to create, explore, build connections and play. Ella Wildman and I have had a lovely time getting to know parents and children and creating a space that is fun and inclusive for all. 

Beginning the playgroup has created a link with our four school values: Belong, Explore, Flourish and Serve. Over the few weeks that we have had this term, we have seen all sorts of growth with the children attending. We have seen more confidence in participating and entering the space happily, taking risks and participating in new activities, speaking to Ella and I as they develop connections with us, playing with each other and developing new friendships too. 

We look forward to more Belong and Blossom sessions through Term 4 and continued connections with families. In fact, there has been so much interest in playgroup that we are going to trial a second session of playgroup on Wednesday mornings.
