Year 10 News

Brittany King & Courtney Scherger | Yr 10 Coordinators

Year 10 Bakers Shop class have completed their Birthday Cake design brief with baking their butter cakes and decorating them.

They had to design 3 different types of cakes, which was enough to feed 10 people, were of high sensory quality for their birthday cake theme and used own choice of colours and topping such as fondant, butter cream icing, glaze, ganache with drip and piping techniques. They all did an amazing job, for some, their first attempt at making a birthday cake!

Work Experience

In the final week of term, Year 10 students undertaking a Careers class have organised and attended work experience. This is an opportunity for our students to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the professional world. During this week-long adventure, our Year 10 students are leaving their textbooks behind to explore a wide range of industries, from healthcare to technology, engineering to journalism, and everything in between. Thank you to all the local businesses involved!

Thank you to all students, staff and parents/guardians for a wonderful term 3. We look forward to seeing you all next term!
