Liam Offer - Assistant Principal VCM VM

Welcome to Week 10

I would like to thank all staff, students and guardians for their work and support this term. It has been a very quick term but one I am sure everyone is ready to take a break from and enjoy the sunshine.

VCE VM results are looking early in term 4 and I urge you to check in to see what work is still required to do to ensure that you can achieve the success you deserve.

A reminder about the uniform requirements for Term 4. All students are to wear Horsham College uniform as well as the school hat. If your hat is damaged, a new one can be purchased from the front office.

As we move into the September break, we ask that you look after yourself, your children and reach out for any support you need. If students are stressed as it moves closer to results please reach out. Horsham has a range of services to assist you through many situations when schools are closed, and that support is unavailable.

McKenzie Creek

On Tuesday 5th September McKenzie Creek students enjoyed a special baby animal tour. First stop was Tiny Goat’s Co in Dimboola where we met Beck and her amazing set up complete with an abundance of baby goats. Students were overjoyed at this experience sitting in the specially designed area where goats would come and cuddle up to them. With a gorgeous canola field backdrop students couldn’t get enough of the goats, and a few were lucky not to be brought back to the Creek!

Next, we headed to Pink Lake for a quick pit stop and luckily it was looking quite vibrant. It was onto Nhill then to see 14,000 baby ducks. Once again students were thrilled with this unique experience and the opportunity to sit down amongst the fluffy sea of yellow.

Our final stop was Jaypex park for lunch and a walk along the Nhill boardwalk. A wonderful day and a credit to all students for displaying the College’s values every step of the way – especially care, there might be a few future farmers on the horizon.
