Last Friday our 1/2 children showcased their Robot Buddies to parents. It was a great event and a massive thank you is deserved to all the parents who were able to come and make our children feel valued. Please see all the wonderful pictures below.

It has also been a very busy time with swimming most afternoons this week. The children have been excited and very happy to be in the swimming pool however we do understand how tired it makes them. The bus ride to the pool has also been a happy event, with the children singing their songs for the school production and looking out the windows to find bunny rabbits and ducklings. With everything going on next week we will not be giving spelling homework, just take-home readers. This should alleviate the pressure at home, however of course we will still be doing spelling in the classroom.

With the production fast approaching, costumes need to be brought into the 1/2 teachers if they haven't already. The whole school will be having a production dress rehearsal next Friday the 27th of October so the children will be needing their costumes by then. Thank you so much for your support with this. We are looking forward to the next few weeks and the excitement that is ahead. It is going to be such a wonderful show!

During literacy time, our 1/2 children have been learning about the different parts of grammar. Here are some songs and clips that the children enjoy watching in the classroom. Be warned parents- these songs are catchy and will get stuck in your head.

Don't forget this coming weekend is the ECCOS festival celebrating the Rhythms of the World linking nicely to our cultural topic coming up.

As always, please be in touch if you need anything...big or small. Our door is always open.
