Specialist Classes

HERE IS A GALLERY OF PHOTOS FROM OUR SPECIALIST SHOWCASE:

SPORT

To start the term off we have been continuing  playing softball. The 3-6ers have enjoyed games of tee ball. It has been great to see students cheering on their teams and getting into some good games. All 3-6 students have done a fantastic job learning and gaining confidence with their striking techniques as well as being super star fielders.

Our foundation- 2's have been doing a fantastic job honing in on their throwing, catching and fielding with modified minor games in softball.

Next week we start our cricket! Gear up Sporty Paddys, it's going to be a fun unit!

STEM

This term in STEM all year levels are investigating Food and Fibre. The Foundation students began by identifying the products that can be designed and produced from plants and animals. Using three hula hoops as a tri-venn diagram, the students had to categorise plants and animals into food, clothing or shelter. They also had to justify their choice by providing examples or evidence to support their decision. In the end, they were able to find only one resource that fitted into all three categories - bamboo.
