Men's Health Week 2026: Supporting the Wellbeing of Men and Boys

This week, from 15–21 June, Australia recognises Men's Health Week 2026, an important national event that encourages men and boys to prioritise their physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing.

Led by the Australian Men's Health Forum (AMHF), Men's Health Week provides an opportunity to start conversations about health, connection and help-seeking. Research consistently shows that many men are less likely to seek support for physical or mental health concerns, often waiting until problems become more serious before reaching out for help. Men's Health Week aims to challenge this by encouraging men to take positive steps towards their wellbeing and to connect with trusted supports.

As a school community, we know that healthy, connected fathers, grandfathers, uncles, carers and male role models play an important role in the lives of children. When adults model healthy ways of managing stress, talking about emotions and seeking support when needed, children learn valuable skills that support their own wellbeing.

We are pleased to share information about the Dads Chat Sessions. Weekly workshops designed and delivered by Tony Vallance, award-winning educator and therapist from Building Better Brains. These sessions provide a welcoming and supportive space for fathers and father figures to connect with others, discuss the challenges of parenting, and learn practical strategies to support their own wellbeing and that of their families.

Whether you are navigating the demands of work and family life, supporting your child's emotional development, or simply looking to connect with other dads in the community, these sessions offer a valuable opportunity to share experiences and gain support.
