Principal's Message

Dear Parents, 

As we come to the end of Term Two, we give thanks for the learning, growth and sense of community shared across St Aidan’s. I am so proud of our students who have shown dedication in their learning, kindness in their relationships and a genuine commitment to living out the values of our Catholic faith each day. 

I thank our staff who have continued to guide and nurture every child with care and our parents who continue to remain as valued partners in supporting our school community.

STUDENT REPORTS 

St Aidan’s student reports have now been published in Compass, showcasing the amazing effort and growth each learner has achieved throughout the semester. Students have worked diligently toward their individual learning goals and it was a pleasure to read every report K-6. Their progress is evident not only in their academic development but also in the commitment they show to doing their best, demonstrating positive behaviour and caring for their peers.

PARENT TEACHER GOAL SETTING MEETINGS TERM 3

Our Parent Teacher Goal Setting Meetings will take place during Weeks 3 and 4 next term. Each class will have a dedicated day for parents to meet with their child’s teacher to discuss individual learning goals for Semester 2, with students in Years 3 to 6 joining the conversation as active partners in their own learning. 

These meetings are compulsory, reflecting our strong commitment to working together with families to support every student in achieving their personal best. Further details, including specific dates and booking information, will be shared in the first newsletter of Term 3.

TRAFFIC & SAFETY - SCHOOL DROP OFF/PICK UP 

Recently, Randwick City Council contacted the school regarding concerns raised about traffic congestion during our morning drop‑off and afternoon pick‑up times. As always, the safety of our students and families is our highest priority. This is a reminder for our community so tht we can continue to reinforce safe and respectful behaviour around our school gates.

I kindly ask all parents and carers to remain patient, follow road rules and model safe practices when arriving or leaving the school. Simple actions, using designated parking areas, avoiding stopping in no standing zones, avoid double parking or using driveways and keeping traffic flowing, make a significant difference to the wellbeing of our community. Your cooperation helps ensure that every child can arrive and leave school safely.

I am grateful for the many moments this term where Christ has been encountered through compassion, service and community. I wish all of our staff, students and their families a restful break and look forward to returning in Term Three ready to continue our shared mission of helping every child flourish.
