Welcome back everyone to a new term! Our focus for the first few weeks in P.E will be around the skills of Australian Rules football. 

Junior students have been practising catching the ball and doing simple handling skills. Give the odd shape of the ball, it can be challenging to do even some simple things like catching! 

Senior students have looked at 2 different methods of marking the ball – overhead and chest marking. They have also been combining their running and handballing to practise moving the ball through the field of play. 

This term I will also be taking students for Visual and Media Arts

Junior students practised using clay to represent emotions that they might feel. We looked at different images in picture books and used our inferencing skills to guess how characters felt in that situation.

Senior students looked at different artworks that represent Australian land and then in turn asked themselves: What does it mean for me to be Australian? Some very interesting images were drawn in response to their own question to themselves.
