School Saving Bonus reminder and allocation to school activities

The Victorian Government is delivering the School Saving Bonus (SSB) – a one-off support of $400 for eligible government school students from Prep to Year 12 in 2025.

The SSB can be used for uniforms until Monday 30 June 2025.

Families can continue to use SSB funds until Monday 30 June 2025 to buy or uniforms, or to allocate funds to school activities using the parent/carer online system.

The parent/carer online system will close at 11:59 pm on 30 June 2025. Any unused online supplier vouchers will expire, and all unspent SSB funds will revert to a school activities credit held against the family account for each student. These balances are expected in CASES21 in early August 2025.

We expect final supplier transactions to be visible in CASES21 by the start of Term 3 (Monday 21 July 2025). Where possible, we ask schools to complete all SSB creditor processes and payments by Thursday 31 July 2025.

The Department of Education’s SSB contact centre will remain available until 30 June 2025. The contact centre can be reached by: 

· completing the School Saving Bonus enquiry form

· calling 1800 338 663, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm on weekdays.
