Whole-School Acknowledgement Update
Across the term, our students and staff have been enthusiastically working towards our shared goal for demonstrating Right Place, Right Time behaviours. These are the small, everyday actions that help our school feel calm, respectful and ready for learning. To help highlight what Right Place, Right Time looks like to our younger students, our SWPBS student leaders have been working on a short video to share in classrooms soon.
We’re already making fantastic progress, with 367 stickers earned so far. That means we’re just 133 away from reaching our target of 500!
Once we hit 500, a whole-school celebration will be held. Students are invited to share their ideas by dropping suggestions into the box in the office - these will help guide our SWPBS student leaders as they decide on and organise the celebration. The suggestion box will be ready for ideas next Monday, and we look forward to seeing what creative ideas students come up with! If any parents or carers have special ideas - or talents or resources they’d be happy to contribute- we’d love to hear from you! Your input could help make our whole-school celebration even more memorable. Please also feel free to add an idea to the suggestion box, or email leah.morris@education.vic.gov.au.
A huge thank you to everyone for bringing our values to life - especially Responsibility - by working hard to show up in the right place at the right time. Every sticker is a little high-five that celebrates how we all make our school such a fantastic place to learn and belong!

The Zones of Regulation
As part of our Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum - which is delivered through a dedicated one-hour lesson each week – students across all year levels are currently exploring the Zones of Regulation. This framework helps students build emotional awareness and regulation skills by recognising how they’re feeling and understanding what those feelings might be telling them.
The Zones of Regulation use four colour-coded categories to describe different states of alertness or emotion:
Students are learning that all zones are okay - each one is a normal part of being human - and that what matters is recognising how we’re feeling and knowing what might help in that moment.
Across the final weeks of term, lessons will focus on:
Many classes are also discussing helpful strategies they can use when they’re in different zones, such as deep breathing, movement, taking a break, or talking to someone.
You might like to continue the conversation at home by asking your child:
These conversations are a great way to support the learning that’s happening in classrooms and to build a shared understanding of emotions and regulation at school and at home.
