Auslan

This week in Auslan, Prep students have been learning to sign different feelings. They watched The Colour Monster story signed by a Deaf teacher, then created their own Feelings Monsters by matching colours to the correct feeling signs. Using a fun Auslan feelings dice, students rolled a feeling and used playdoh to model the matching expression!

In Grades 1–3, students explored fruit signs. They created their own fruit platters, played Memory games to practise, and rolled Auslan fruit dice to collect data for a graph. Using Auslan grammar structures, they asked classmates about their favourite fruit and recorded responses to make their own data displays.
