Performing Arts

Preps have been working on loud & soft and fast & slow in music. They respond through listening, singing, instruments and moving. Each grade has continued to practice their dance for the school production. We are super excited to show you our amazing pieces.

Grade One students have been using their voices and instruments to explore high and low sounds. We sang a cool version of Ipsy Wipsy Spider and played ascending and descending notes on a glockenspiel to match. Classes are working hard on perfecting their dance moves and getting their timing together.

Grade Two classes have explored melodies and created compositions to play on instruments. We learnt a fun song called ‘If You Want’ and played matching notes on the glockenspiel. Students are working hard on recalling their selected dance moves to songs for the production as well as their timing and transitions.

Production Update:

This is just another reminder that the production is fast approaching. Students will be involved in a rehearsal at school on Monday, June 23rd. 

The 2 concerts will take place on Wednesday, June 25th, at 9.30am and 4pm.

Tickets are not required for this event however donations towards our Performing Arts program will be gratefully accepted and can be made via QKR! prior to the concert. Gold Coin and EFTPOS donations can also be given on the day at the door.
