INTERSCHOOL SPORT UPDATE

St Brigid's vs Mentone Park

Footy Boys-

Last Friday the footy boys won for their second time by 16 points.

Footy Girls -

Two weeks ago the girls did not play because Mentone Park did not have a girls team. The girls still trained well and hard.

Soccer Girls -

The soccer girls won 1-nil by Charlotte kicking a corner kick which is great since she was filling in for some people who were away in the team.

Soccer Boys - It was 5 - 2 in soccer and we lost and Luke scored both of the goals.

Netball boys-

We lost against Mentone Park but we all tried our hardest. We all played some of the best games of our lives in netball.

Netball Girls-

All of the girls played really well in netball.

T-Ball Mixed-

This was the only time that we played t-ball during the term. Almost all of us just got home runs. We also all performed well in the field, getting about three people out. The scores were 15-15, but they had one more batting session and 2x more players than us.

St Brigid's vs Dingley

Footy Boys - Sadly the footy boys lost 47 - 33 with everyone contributing to scoring.

Footy Girls - Unfortunately, the footy girls did not play last week but filled in for other sports and played great games.

Netball Girls - The netball girls did extremely well but had a draw with Charlotte scoring the most goals.

Soccer Boys - The soccer boys had a great game and won seven-nil with Ollie and Luke scoring two, then Rafael scoring one.

Soccer Girls - The soccer girls had an awesome game but sadly tied 0-0. The girls did well with Daphne F and Daphne M almost scoring multiple goals.

Feast of the Sacred Heart

Today all of the St Brigids students brought in food for the people that dont have as much as us. Tomorrow is the Feast of the Sacred Heart and whoever wants to join the Mass is more than welcome to come along at 11:30am at St Brigid's Church in Mordialoc.

Spirit Filled Evening

On Tuesday, the 5/6's had a Spirit Filled People evening with the guest speaker, Roseanne Rofaeel. Roseanne spoke about her organisation, COTS (Christmas On the Streets), and how she started donating. She taught us her slogan, homeless not hopeless meaning although you might be homeless, if you have hope things will turn around. She was a really great speaker and we are glad to have had her speak to us about her journey with COTS.
