Wonderful 1

The 0ne-der Stars 1s
Term 3 Week 2 2025 - Friday 1st August
What have we been up to?
We’re excited to kick off Term 3 with lots of fun learning adventures! Here’s a peek at what your little learners have been up to this week.
In Writing, we have started exploring scientific reports! This week, the students did a hands-on experiment making slime. They learned about the important parts of a scientific report by asking a question, making a hypothesis, listing materials, following a procedure, and observing the results. The kids loved getting messy and discovering how science works in real life!
In Maths, our focus is on data and graphs. The students have been learning how to collect data using tally marks and then turn that information into colorful picture graphs. It’s been super fun for everyone to see their data come alive in pictures and charts!
In Science, we have begun learning about biological sciences, focusing on the life cycles of animals and plants. To make this learning even more exciting, we have a special incursion coming up! Wild Action will be visiting our school to bring Australian animals and teach us all about their life cycles. It’s going to be a fantastic, hands-on experience for the kids!
Students will be participating in Performing Arts this Term and at the end of Term they will present a Mini-Concert to the parents and school.
Here are some photo highlights from the fortnight that was. Yard duty helpers 🙂
Last term we made globe cookies to celebrate finishing our Geography unit!
