Around The School

Healthy Living
Our students have been making Potato Gnocchi in Healthy Living, do yourselves and your family a favour and make this together for dinner one night. It is the perfect comfort food as the temperature drops.
National Reconciliation Week Colouring Competition Winners.
Congratulations to the following students who won our colouring competition!
Junior and Senior Biological Science Research
With a focus on Biological Science, this term, all our students have been undertaking research/learning about different aspects of living creatures. This morning, our senior students from Miss O'Brien's class read flip/flap (pop-up) animal stories to Foundation children and presented posters containing research to our Year 1.2 students.
Not only did our juniors find out about different animals, they also learned how to present their current research as a poster in an organised, neat and informative manner.
Indonesian Language Learning Ambassador (ILLA) program continues with a second ambassador!
This semester, St Pat’s has continued to participate in an Australian Government funded program called ILLA (Indonesian Language Learning Ambassadors).
The ILLA program provides Australian Government-funded scholars from Indonesia with an opportunity to directly engage with Australian schools – teachers and students – and learn first-hand about Australian culture, community, and classroom teaching practices. It also enables Ambassadors to share their skills and knowledge of the Indonesian language, culture, and customs and establish local Australian community connections.
Senior students have another exciting opportunity to work with Bima, our second Indonesian ambassador for the next three weeks. Students will learn about the ancient tradition of ‘Wayang’ or ‘Shadow Puppetry’ with Bima, getting the chance to make their own wayangs and perform a short play with them behind a shadow puppet screen!
