Year 5 Leadership course

Report of the Youth Leadership Graduation on 2nd December 2024 

Congratulations to all the students who graduated from the Advanced Presentation Skills Youth Leadership Course. It was wonderful to have so many parents attend to witness the growth and development of our grade five students. All students impressed their teachers and families with avery high standard of Prepared Speeches, Off the Cuff Speeches and Evaluations. The whole meeting was filled with personality, joy and humor – just what we all needed! All students were awarded their certificates of completion.

Special thanks to the Master of Ceremonies, Max Cornish for his fine efforts. Max demonstrated his personality and leadership skills to a very high standard. 

The Off the Cuff Presenter, Thomas Smith also had superb control of the audience, even asking a parent to answer a question. It endedup being his mother! Thank you for participating Wendy.

This year the Entertainment Segment included Olive and Luca telling some very funny jokes which had the whole audience laughing. 

A very big thank you to Mrs Moxon who encouraged and supported the students work and helped make the meeting a success. Thank you to Mrs Wensley for her work on the panel of judges. 

Thank you for my gifts which were unexpected but very much appreciated. Thank you so much for a very impressive and memorable seven weeks. The team efforts of the students and teachers alike was exceptional.  For those who did not know four students were absent and one arrived late, but the group worked together as a team and filled in the gaps. I believe your support and positive comments to each other aided in the increase in confidence and improvement in the standard of work each and every week. I certainly hope you keep applying the praise, input, praise principal in your future years. I hope all students enjoyed the whole experience as much as I did. You certainly did yourselves, your families and your school proud. We can already predict how wonderful this group will be as the school leaders next year and that the younger students follow their example.
