Young Voices of Macedon

Following a very successful year in 2024 Young Voices of Macedon is pleased to announce commencement of rehearsals on Thursday 30 January@ 4.15pm at House of the Rock, 247 Station Road, New Gisborne. Interested children from the age of 5 are invited to a special ‘Come and Try’ session on Thursday 30 January or 6 February.

Performance highlights of 2024 included:

• Choralfest@Montsalvat
• Be Kind to Elders Day, Macedon
• Kodaly Society Choral Festival, Melbourne
• Annual concert in conjunction with Bendigo Youth Choir at the Church of the Resurrection, Macedon
• 40th Anniversary Concert of the Bendigo Youth Choir at the Capitol Theatre, Bendigo
• Workshop and performance with Yarra Voices at the Church of the Resurrection, Macedon
• Service of Readings and Carols at the Church of the Resurrection, Macedon

Rehearsals led by our wonderful teachers Jess Demare and Emma West seek to give children guidance in vocal technique, part singing and general musicianship, along with involvement in a wide range of repertoire. We also help children to enjoy the experience of choral singing within a culture of inclusion and socialisation.
