Principal's Report

Happy week two everyone! So many stories have been shared since coming back about the holidays, plenty of fun things happening that's for sure! Students have settled back into the daily routines of school life, and our Foundation students have started ever so postively (and very tiredly!)! We will continue to build our community with classes spending time with each other doing a range of activities to begin the year. Well done everyone, a great way to begin our new school year.
UPCOMING LEAVE FOR ME
As many of you know, I am going to be on leave as of tomorrow with the birth of our 2nd child. Jacqueline Lee will be your point of call during this period. With the professional and amazing team we have here I have no doubt the school is in good hands during this time. Please see her should you need anything to support your child.
This leave will affect the start of our tutoring program, as I am doing tutoring in 2025. Please be patient while we complete start of year assessments and reflect on 2024 data to determine candidates for tutoring this year. You will be informed when we get the tutoring program up and running.
SUSTAINABILITY
In line with our mission to reduce waste at school we will continue to ask students to take soft plastic waste home (from their lunchbox). You're welcome to collect a soft plastic recycling "orange bag" from the school to support this from home. Please see the 'Sustainability' page for more info.
COMMUNICATION
Please continue to use Compass Connect (messenger function) on Compass for communication between families and teachers. Narelle in the office is also there to support your admin questions.
FUNDRAISING MONEY HAS BEEN PUT TO GOOD USE
The cubby was installed over the holidays and our new interactive TV's have arrived for classrooms. Once we plaster over the previous projector installation holes we'll be off and running!
VISITING THE CLASSROOMS
Please know that we'd love you to visit the classrooms with your child(ren) before or after school - they're open from 8.45am in the morning, and then in the afternoon until 3.40pm (Staff are in meetings Monday/Tuesday at 3.45). We really do hope to see some faces checking in!
