TERM 4 SPORTS REPORT

In Term 4, our students embarked on their 2025 sporting journey, with our Year 7 students (soon to be Year 8) and Year 8 and 9 students (soon to be Year 9 and 10) competing in their first rounds of sport. It was an exciting start to the season as teams across various year levels participated in cricket, baseball, softball, tennis, and volleyball, showcasing their skills and enthusiasm for their respective sports.

The students demonstrated excellent teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship as they embraced the challenge of their new sporting season. With the foundation now laid, we look forward to seeing these athletes continue to develop and grow as they prepare for future competitions and hone their abilities across a range of sports.

Congratulations to the following teams that progress onto the Regional Finals next year:

· 2025 Year 8 Girls Softball

· 2025 Year 8 Boys Tennis

· 2025 Intermediate Boys Cricket

· 2025 Intermediate Girls Cricket

Also, a special mention to the 2024 teams that were still competing in the 2024 pathway. Our intermediate girl's hockey team along with the junior boys and girls, all competed in the Regional Finals with some great wins and narrow losses. Our Year 8 boys cricket team won through to the Regional Cricket Grand Final, unfortunately going down to Hume Anglican Grammar School.

NATIONAL ATHLETICS

Diamond Valley College is extremely proud of the athletic achievements of our students. This year, we had the honor of two students representing Victoria in Track and Field, demonstrating their dedication and skill at the national level. Liam Carroll competed in the 12/U long jump in Sydney, where he achieved an impressive jump of 4.83 meters, securing 8th place in Australia.

Max Davidson showcased his talent in the 16/U Race Walk in Brisbane, winning the 3000m walk with an incredible 44-second personal best. We congratulate both Liam and Max on their outstanding performances and remarkable accomplishments this year. Their hard work and perseverance are truly inspiring.
