Term 4 Level 2 Newsletter

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to another exciting term of learning and celebration at Level Two!
In Term Four, Level Two students will delve into focused learning experiences covering a range of reading comprehension strategies, informative writing, and unpack poetry texts. These thematic units will enhance their proficiency in Reading, Writing, and Speaking and Listening. In Mathematics, students will participate in interactive learning activities to investigate concepts such as fractions, data and space.
Additionally, they will study how forces impact us and the objects around us. that people have with important local and global landmarks, learn about and deepen their understanding of the school's values and resilience skills.
At the end of this school year, your child’s report will go live. The reports will be a celebration of their learning and demonstrate the success that they have had in each subject area.
We would like to take this opportunity to kindly remind families that Home Learning is designed to complement and reinforce classroom learning at Glen Waverley Primary School. Recently, we have noticed a decline in students completing and bringing their Home Learning to school on the due date. While we understand that many children have after-school commitments and activities, Home Learning is intentionally designed to be manageable for students to complete as independently as possible. We would appreciate your support in checking in with your child before the due date to support them with their organisation skills. If, for any reason, your child is unable to complete their Home Learning, we encourage you to please email their classroom teacher in advance to inform them. This open communication helps us provide the necessary support and ensures that your child stays on track with their learning progress.
We sincerely thank our parent community for the ongoing support you have shown to your children and our school this year. Your partnership continues to make a meaningful difference.
Please enjoy reading what we have planned for this term.
Kind regards,
Miss Emma Williams, Mrs. Jessica Reeves, Miss Haileina Shi, Miss Lucy Li and Mrs. Shveta Mahajan
