Visual Art

Be sure to check out your child's artwork created for the Crazy Camel Fundraiser. The children worked hard to create some amazing pieces that will look great when printed on the available options and could make a cute gift for family and friends.  More information available on the Fundraising Page of this issue of the newsletter.

Students have made a creative and energetic start to the term in Visual Arts!

Our Preps have enjoyed experimenting with paper marbling techniques, producing beautifully patterned papers that they will soon transform into colourful woven artworks.

Meanwhile, Grade 3s have designed and carved their own foam stamps and are getting ready to print their designs using bold colours and repeating patterns.

Our Grade 4 students are learning to create digital paintings using the Brushes Redux app, exploring layering, line work, and texture. Grade 5s are discovering the work of Jacob Hashimoto and using his unique visual language to inspire their own digital compositions.

Finally, Grade 6s are busily finalising their skate deck designs, refining their ideas and planning the steps to bring their creative visions to life.

It’s shaping up to be another exciting and colourful term in the Art Room!
