Wrapping up Chemical Sciences in Term 3 and Starting our Physical Science Term 4 units.
Last term in Science, students had a fantastic time wrapping up their learning with some hands-on fun!
The Preps proudly finished their That’s My Hat unit by designing and creating colourful party hats to celebrate their learning about materials.
The Year 1 and 2 students explored mixtures in their All Mixed Up unit and discovered what happens when solids and liquids combine — their chocolate crackle creations couldn’t be separated, so of course, we had to eat them!
The Year 3 and 4 students concluded their Packaging Pioneers unit by designing innovative, sustainable packaging solutions for everyday items.
Meanwhile, the Year 5 and 6 students brought science and creativity together by producing impressive stop-motion animations that demonstrated their understanding of the properties of solids, liquids, and gases.
This term, the excitement continues! The Preps have started Make It Move, exploring how pushes and pulls can make things go faster, slower, or change direction.
The Year 1 and 2 students are tuning into Sound Studio, investigating how sounds are made and how we can change them.
The Year 3 and 4 students have kicked off Scorching Swings and Slides, learning about heat energy and how it moves.
And the Year 5 and 6 students are diving into Circuit Breakers, discovering how electrical circuits work and how energy can be transformed to make things light up, move, and make noise.
It’s shaping up to be another term full of creativity, curiosity, and scientific discovery!
