We’re delighted to invite you to this term’s Family Parish Mass! Join us on Sunday 7th December at 9:30am for a joyful celebration of faith and community.
This Mass will be extra special as we honour Fr Allan’s 50th birthday, a wonderful milestone for our parish priest. Following the service, we’ll gather in the parish hall for morning tea.
We can’t wait to see you there!
As part of St Aidan’s outreach program, Year 6 students are continuing to visit the local nursing home twice over the term. During their visit, students spent time chatting with residents, sharing stories, and playing board games together. It was a valuable opportunity for students to connect with older members of our community, show kindness, and learn through conversation. The visit was enjoyed by both students and residents, and we look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership throughout th term.

Last term we continued our outreach in the making of sandwiches for St Vincent de Paul. I am pleased to announce that St Aidan’s is rostered on to make sandwiches again on Thursday the 30th October. Thank you all for your donations this week for Dollar for a Dinner which funds this special outreach. Last term we made 250 sandwiches that were delivered to St Vincent de Paul and given out to people in need in the Maroubra Community.
We are very pleased to announce that we will hold the Pope Francis Graduation Mass on Friday 28th November at 9:10 am. Students who have successfully completed this program will be formally recognised by the school and parish community.
We warmly invite all parents and friends to join us for this event.

This term, our students have been continuing to explore the Brigidine Charisms this term focusing on the charism of compassion, inspired by the life and values of St Brigid. In class, they’ve explored what compassion means, showing kindness, understanding, and care for others, and how they can live it out in their daily lives.
Each class has created displays that reflect their learning and personal responses to this theme. As we continue this journey, students are discovering how compassion can make a difference in their friendships, their school community, and the world around them.

Year 1 students have been learning about the Bible story of Jesus and the Ten Lepers, focusing on the importance of gratitude. Through a range of hands-on activities, including playdough modelling, LEGO building, painting, and writing, students have brought the story to life in imaginative and meaningful ways.
These creative experiences have helped deepen their understanding of how Jesus showed compassion and how one leper returned to say thank you.

Kindy have been exploring the sacred vessels used during Mass. The explored each item placed on the altar, the altar cloth, crucifix, candles, paten, chalice, and ciborium, discovering their meaning and purpose in the celebration of the Eucharist.
Through hands-on learning and gentle reflection, students were invited to wonder about the importance of these sacred objects and how they help us celebrate and give thanks to God. It was a beautiful way to deepen their understanding of Mass.
