Dear Parents, 

JUBILEE YEAR: PILGRIMS OF HOPE

Each term, during this Jubilee year, we continue to reflect on the theme 'Pilgrims of Hope'. Being a pilgrim means going on a journey, not just with our feet, but with our hearts. Hope means believing that good things are possible, even when faced with challenges. So when we say we are “Pilgrims of Hope,” we’re saying that we want to walk through life with kindness, faith, and courage.

Just like lamps light up a dark room, we can light up our school and community with small acts of love and kindness:

• Be kind: Smile at someone who looks lonely. Say thank you. Share.

• Be forgiving: If someone makes a mistake, give them another chance.

• Be helpful: Offer to help clean up, carry something, or cheer up a friend.

• Be prayerful: Say a quiet prayer for someone who needs strength or peace.

   

During this Jubilee Year, we have continued to grow closer to God and to each other. It has been a time to reflect, to be grateful, and to think about how we can make the world a brighter place, starting right here in our classrooms and playgrounds.

Let’s make Term 4 a season of hope, joy, and togetherness. Whether we’re learning, playing, praying, or helping, we can all be Pilgrims of Hope.

GRANDPARENTS DAY

We are looking forward to our annual Grandparents Day on Tuesday 4 November. The day will begin with morning tea and a concert in the Parish Hall at 9am followed by Open Classrooms and a Book Fair set up outside the library. 

Students and their families will be able to browse, select and purchase their favourite titles to take home, and families may also like to donate a book to the school library to help grow our library collection.

WORLD TEACHER'S DAY

Next Wednesday we celebrate World Teachers Day at St Aidan's. On this day we honor and celebrate the incredible dedication and passion of our St Aidan's teaching staff. Their commitment to nurturing our students' young minds, fostering creativity, and instilling a lifelong love of learning is truly inspiring. Every day, our teachers transform lives and make a profound difference in our students' futures. 

I would like to thank our staff for their unwavering commitment to making our school a place of growth and excellence. I am endlessly proud to work alongside such an extraordinary team of educators and I appreciated them beyond words!

May this year be one of GOODNESS, TRUTH and BEAUTY.
