Principal's Update
Farewell to the Class of 2025
Last week we said farewell to our remarkable Year 12 students, the Class of 2025. What a privilege it has been to walk alongside you this year, not only as your Principal but also as your Homegroup teacher.
From our unforgettable Year 12 Camp with the laughter, late-night conversations, shared meals, and moments of challenge and encouragement, to the quieter mornings in Home group as we opened God’s Word together, this has been a year rich with memories and growth.
Each morning, we began with the Verse of the Day from the YouVersion Bible app. Those verses grounded us when the pace of Year 12 felt overwhelming and reminded us of what truly matters.
We reflected on truths such as:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” - Proverbs 3:5
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” - Matthew 5:16
These verses became more than daily readings, they became guideposts, shaping how we approached study, leadership, and life.
Our Year 12 students have led the College with integrity, humility, and compassion. Through their service, encouragement, and example, they have left a mark on the culture of King’s College. It has been a joy to watch them grow into fine young men and women of God, strong in faith, grounded in character, and ready to step into the future God has prepared for them.
As you move beyond King’s College, hold fast to God’s promises:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” - Jeremiah 29:11
May you continue to walk in His wisdom, courage, and grace. You will always be part of the King’s College family, and I look forward to hearing how God continues to use you to make a difference in this world.
With every blessing,
Allister Rouse

Students from Year 4 to 12 can make a product and sell at a stall. Stall fee is $15 and all money raised will go to the PTFA.
If you would like to register for a stall, or would like to volunteer to help out on the night, please follow this link and fill out the details at your earliest convenience.
The VCE VM team, along with the PTFA, will be coordinating the markets once again. This event will take place on the outdoor undercover Basketball courts. Food and drinks available along with live music performances.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Learn to Play Pipes & Drums
We are welcoming enquiries from students aged 8 and up who are interested in learning Bag Pipes or the Snare Drum. This is in conjunction with the Warrnambool Pipes and Drums Band.
There are no tuition fees incurred as the Warrnambool Pipe Major and Drum Major come to school each week to tutor students for a 20 minute lesson during school hours.
To begin learning to play pipes or drums there is a purchase fee of $85, which covers a chanter (pipes) or $100 for drumsticks and a drum pad. This cost also includes the tuition book.
Once competent (usually after 18 months), many Pipes and Drums students compete in competitions at state, national and international levels.
Please email your child's interest to reception@kings.vic.edu.au
