Term 3 Music Showcase
As Term 3 drew to a close, I had the pleasure of listening to a series of performances from our talented music students during the final week of term.
Congratulations to all students who performed for their peers during our concluding music lessons. We had a range of performances, including verse speaking, woodwind, piano, and string instruments.
These sessions provide a valuable opportunity for students to:
Share their musical achievements in a supportive environment
We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and dedication shown by our young musicians. Keep practising—we look forward to seeing your continued growth and creativity in Term 4!

Celebrating Our String Ensembles
At the end of last term, we had the pleasure of celebrating the achievements of our talented string ensembles, showcasing performances from our youngest musicians all the way through to our most experienced players. It was a true joy to witness the musical growth of our students as they progress through the ensembles—developing their skills in listening, following a conductor, and interpreting music with increasing confidence and artistry.
From the early stages of ensemble playing to the advanced repertoire tackled by our chamber groups, each performance reflected the dedication and musical maturity of our students. A particularly heartfelt moment was Mrs Moxey’s farewell to our Year 12 string players—some of whom have been learning with her since Year 1! Chamber Strings final performances were a fitting tribute to years of commitment, growth, and shared musical journey.
A huge thank you to the wonderful team of string tutors and ensemble directors for their ongoing support and inspiration. We look forward to more beautiful music and continued excellence in 2025 and beyond!

Kinross Wolaroi School accompanist extraordinaire, Luke Moxey will be presenting a recital of Liszt’s Deuxième Année – Italie, S161. This piece explores seven different Italian artworks through virtuosic piano writing.
All proceeds raised from this concert will go towards a new Grand Piano for the Kinross Wolaroi School Performance Theatre.
Tickets are $40 and accompanied children under 12 are free.
