It’s shaping up to be a busy and exciting term, and we know it will fly by quickly! We trust you’ve had a wonderful break and enjoyed some special moments with your children—hopefully creating lasting memories together.
The students have returned with great energy and are settling back into school routines beautifully. It’s been lovely to see their enthusiasm and readiness to engage in learning.
We’re looking forward to a productive and positive term ahead, filled with meaningful experiences, growth, and celebration as we approach the end of the school year. Thank you for your continued support—we’re excited for what’s to come!
Participating in sport helps children develop physical fitness, teamwork, and resilience—skills that benefit them both in and out of the classroom. With summer sport now underway, these opportunities not only support healthy habits but also foster a sense of belonging and school spirit. We wish all teams the very best for a season filled with growth, enjoyment, and success.
Wearing the school uniform reflects a sense of belonging and unity within the school community. It also serves as a symbol of representation, showing others the high standards, school values, and spirit of our school wherever students go. This term, we will be focusing on uniform presentation, including appropriate jewellery and hair expectations—please refer to the School Uniform Policy for further details.
The transition from Year 6 to Year 7 is a vital step in a student’s educational journey, helping to build confidence, independence, and readiness for the challenges of secondary school. Year 6 to Year 7 transition activities offer significant benefits for students as they move from primary to secondary school. These activities help reduce anxiety by familiarising students with their new environment, routines, and expectations, making the change feel less daunting.
This week, Kinross Wolaroi Year 6 students will begin transitioning to Year 7. A variety of activities and opportunities to visit the Senior School have been planned to support student transition to Year 7. Below is an outline of the activities planned.

MONDAY 21 OCTOBER
NAIDOC Week is a significant time to celebrate and recognise the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme—The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy—calls on all Australians to support and empower young voices as they carry forward the stories and leadership of First Nations communities. In honour of this theme, Year 6 badged leaders will join Kinross Wolaroi School Senior School representatives in the Orange NAIDOC Week Street March and celebrations on Monday, October 20, proudly representing our School.
