Assistant Principal's Message

Amadeus Concert

~ By Hunter, Rayaan and Daisy (Year 3)

We love Amadeus because the tutors always teach us new things every Wednesday

and they are very good at playing music and sharing their knowledge with all the students at St Anthony’s. WE LOVE AMADEUS and OUR TUTORS, THANK YOU YOU ROCK!

~ By Xavier, Annabel and Scarlett (Year 4)

We love Amadeus because whenever we are stuck on a piece or  note our amazing tutors always lend a helping hand when we need it. It gives our brain strength and fitness by learning something new and different notes. We get to gain understanding of instruments by playing professional songs and sounds every day. The Amadeus Program gives us opportunities to seek help. The instruments that we play give us a chance later on in life to do different things. We love Amadeus!

~ By Lila, Penny and Alejandro (Year 5)

We love Amadeus because it is a fun program and we love to learn an instrument. We’ve learned a lot. Our tutors are really nice and we hope they can keep teaching at our school. It helps us to learn something different other than school work, and will allow us to know more about music and instruments.

~ By  Callum F, Charli and Henry (Year 6)

We love the Amadeus program because it lets you have an opportunity to learn a musical instrument which is very useful for both now and later on in life. It helps us be more social in activities, being able to talk and practice music. Learning a musical instrument is beneficial to multi curricular activities and helps your memory and attention span so it's really good that Amedaus is at our school. So many of us enjoy Amadeus because it is a nice mix of relaxing and fun ways to learn music that is why we love Amadeus!

Schoolwide Positive Behaviours for Learning

The Nagle Captains, Emily and Henry were so excited that their house won the Term 2 party and disco by being awarded the most SPBL tokens. Henry said 'I am so thrilled and so should all the students in Nagle for all their great actions and perserverance to be safer, more responsible and respectful students.'  The Nagle house are so excited to be able to dance and eat pizza today! The Nagle team have shown a wonderful display of St Anthony's virtue of 'Love & Service'. Congratulations Nagle House!

Mathematics Challenge Today!

'Mathematics Challenge Day’ was a complete success. The children had a wonderful time recalling facts and showing fluency in number. The students enjoyed a variety of activities using concrete materials, technology and mental strategies. A special Thank You to Mr Tommy Tsang for leading Year 4 in the Maths Challenge and teaching the students new skills.

International Competitions & Assessments for Schools (ICAS)

ICAS is a series of competition assessments, set at a challenging level, which focuses on problem solving skills. Students who sit ICAS are asked to demonstrate a deeper, integrated, and thorough level of learning. The assessments are suitable for students wishing to extend themselves academically and take up the personal challenge of competing in an international assessment.

ICAS assessments can serve as a valuable tool for parents to gain insights into their child's academic performance, make informed decisions about their education, and support their learning journey effectively.

The exams are available to students in Years 2 to 6. The test will be administered BEFORE SCHOOL at 7:45am in the Year 4 classroom and will be supervised by a teacher at the school.
