School Council
Ladies Afternoon and Fundraising Update!
This term saw some very successful School Council fundraisers, led by some of our dedicated and generous parent members. This included:
- Wednesday Canteen & Icypole Day
- Mothers Day Stall
- Food Theme Sausage Day
- Food Theme Pizza & Cookie Day
- Ladies' Cocktail Afternoon
- End of Term Community BBQ
Most recently, our Ladies' Afternoon was a huge success with 50 parents/carers attending. Thank you to the following companies for their donations and supports: The Sebel Moonee Ponds, Merry People, Listen to Your Body East Keilor, Essendon Veterinary Clinic and Saros Bar and Dining. A special thank you to our parent volunteers this term, especially our event coordinators- Sheridan and Dalila for the Mothers Day Stall, Anna for the Food Theme Days and Canteen, and Cora for the Ladies' Afternoon.
All raised funds will be going towards projects that further develop our school and are in the best interests of our students. Currently, Tyson and Erin are collecting a range of quotes on suggested projects which will be shared with the school and parent community to review and make decisions on. Please go to survey in the Principal's Report to have your say on how we utilise these funds.
Projects such as replacing the asphalt, upgrading the gym, and resurfacing the oval are deemed far beyond the scope of fundraising efforts and will be sought through Capital Works Grants.
What is coming up?
Term 3 will see a number of returning and new fundraising events, including:
- Student Food Theme Days
- Father's Day Stall - Like the Mother's Day Stall, this year's gifts will be better than ever!
- Father's Day Raffle and Event - this is a new one for 2024. We are planning a raffle aimed at fathers and father figures, along with an afternoon of activities for fathers and their children to participate in together.
- Trivia Night - We are planning for this event to return in 2024 and take place back in the school gym bringing the community and staff together.
