Auburn High School Incursion

On 15 May we hosted Auburn High School’s Year 10 International Students for half a day.

The program began with `greetings’ from our Year 10 internationals in several languages and ice breaker games. We then shared a special lunch (dumplings, spring rolls and fried chicken) together in the library. This was followed by basketball and badminton in the sports stadium. The program was a great success and may be reciprocated in semester 2. 

A special thanks to EDSC staff who helped out on the day and Craig Carpenter (former EDSC teacher) and Jean Zhang (International Student Coordinator) from Auburn for coming up with the idea.

Year 10 Welcome Lunch

On 23 May we hosted a Year 10 Welcome Lunch in the Library between newly arrived internationals and local students. Thanks to the library staff for the use of the venue and the Year 10 Coordinators for helping to organise the event. The students enjoyed getting to know each other over some yummy food!
