Fern House

Hey everyone, my name is Madina. I’m the student representative for Fern 10. I hope you have enjoyed the term so far and make the most of your upcoming holidays.

During this term, the Push-Up Challenge has been on. The Push-Up Challenge is Australia's largest mental health and fitness event. Each year, hundreds of thousands of Australians take up the challenge to complete a set number of push-ups that represent the number of lives lost to suicide in Australia in the most recent year. This year it was hosted as a House competition and we have been able to raise $2,302 for Headspace so far.

This term, Fern is competing in the Chorales Competition which will be held on Thursday 27th June at 6pm. The Fern student leaders are planning fundraisers for our House charity, which is Ausrelief. This is a charity that supports alleviating poverty, sickness and under-development using short and long term sustainability solutions. They aid the less fortunate and provide them with the tools and skills to aid themselves in the long term. 

We have sped past this term and have reached the middle of the year. I wish you all a great time during your holidays.
