Eucalyptus House

Hello everyone, for those who don't know me, I'm Eleanor, the Year 10 Eucalyptus House SRC for 2024.

As part of the SRC team in Eucalyptus House, this has been very rewarding to me, as it has allowed me to develop leadership skills and step out of my comfort zone, while showing personal growth and helping others. I look forward to gaining the leadership skills and knowledge that I will be able to use in other areas of my life and in my future, as well as being a role model for the younger year levels.

Our SRC Presidents have organised a successful Push-Up Challenge for Headspace Dandenong, raising awareness and funds for mental health. I recommend everyone to get involved with as many push-ups as we can! We’re halfway through the challenge and the school has completed a total of 17,587 push-ups so far. 

The House competition results so far are: Eucalyptus (5,893 push ups, $633 raised), Hakea (3,645 push ups, $419 raised), Callistemon (3,277 push ups, $20 raised) and Banksia (2,690 push ups, $372 raised). We are leading the way, with $2,302 raised overall for Headspace Dandenong.

Coming up this week we have Chorales and I’m confident we can perform as well as we did last year. Your support is invaluable and it will be an exciting experience to bring out your inner House spirit. I can't wait to celebrate the night together and look forward to seeing everyone there! Good luck and may the best House win (Eucalyptus haha)
