We recognise ‘Refugee Week’ from the 16th to 22nd of June this week. The theme this year is Finding Freedom: Family. Students are learning about why people seek safety in other countries and the challenges they face. We have learnt about notable Australians who came to Australia as refugees. Anh Do is one of our most popular authors in the library and he fled Vietnam by boat in the 1970’s. We have many inspiring stories in the library of journeys to Australia, please come and check out our collection. 

Lastly, we had a fun gathering for the Teen Learning Advisors to thank them for their hard work making our library a better place. We had board games and snacks at lunchtime.
