Division & Regional Cross Country

Congratulations to the following students who competed at the Division Cross Country Competition:

Grade 6: Ruby S

Grade 5: Maya S & Abby Y

Grade 4: Mae M

Shout out to Maya who finished top 10 and qualified for the Regional Cross Country competition. Amazing work, Maya!

Winter Interschool Sport

Our Grade 5 & 6 students have completed Day 1 of their Winter Interschool Sport competition, with Day 2 scheduled for this Friday!

A huge think you to all our parent volunteers who helped with supervising, umpiring and supporting our teams. We couldn't do it without you!

A shout out to all our students who displayed exceptional behaviour and respect throughout the day, we are proud of you!

Our Sport leaders will write up a report of team results after Day 2 is complete, so stay tuned!

House Spirit - Run/Walk Club (Friday Morning)

We have been seeing a huge increase in participation at our Friday morning Run/Walk Club! On the 7th June we saw a school Personal Best of 585 total laps ran! A huge effort!

 

Here is an update of the house points earned so far from Friday morings and the House Cross Country points have been added:

 

Remember there is a house cup sitting in the front office that display's each weekly winner. There is also a weekly leaderboard up in the 5/6 building window that will be updated each week.

 

Swimming Program

Swimming will start next Monday and ran each day for the whole week. A summary of the program is below:

Day 1:

Assessing students who didn’t swim last year and putting them into groups as well as rechecking the students who have been pre-grouped to ensure that the level they are in is appropriate for their skill level.

Day 2-3:

Learn to swim sessions

Day 4 (Thu 22nd June): 

Water safety day. Students will need to wear light clothing over the top of their bathers (t-shirt/shorts etc). No goggles on that water safety day will be able to be used. 

Day 5 (Fri 23rd June):

Fun day. Students will participate in a mix of inflatable obstacle course, water slide, games, water playground/splash pad (activities selected are age & skill appropriate for each group). No goggles can be used on the slide or the inflatable due to risk of eye i

njuries.
