Father's and Special Person's Day and Parent Presentations
Last Friday, our Foundation children hosted an enjoyable morning with their Father's/Special People. Together, they took part in a range of classroom activities including nail painting, biscuit decorating, photo frame making, pasta beading, playdough and story time. It was a great opportunity for families to spend time in the classroom and the children really enjoyed sharing their space and activities with their special adults. Thank you to everyone who came along - we hope you enjoyed the morning as much as we did!
This week Foundation welcomed Gabby, Iska’s mum, into our classroom. Gabby is a nurse who spoke to us about her job, answered our many curious questions and showed us some of the special things nurses use. The students loved the visit and learned a lot about how nurses care for people in our community.
This morning the Foundation students had a visit from Mabel's dad, Tim. Tim is a dog trainer and he talked to the students about dog safety and how to look after your dog. He brought in his special dog, Pseudo to help teach us how to be safe around dogs.
Thanks Tim!
