Key Details of Round 4

This final round is scheduled for Friday, October 17, 2025, and will be held at the De La Salle Caringbah Hall. The day is split into two sessions: Stage 2 students will compete from 9 am to 12 pm, followed by Stage 3 students from 12 pm to 3 pm.

The participants are the top two students from Stage 2 and 3 from each participating school.

In addition to their prepared speeches, students will also be given an impromptu speech topic on the day to prepare and present.

The speeches will be judged by special guest adjudicators, and the winners will be announced on the day of the event. While the overall winners will be celebrated at the competition, schools are also encouraged to acknowledge their own finalists and winners within their school communities.

We would also like to congratulate these Kindergarten Students who were our finalists for Kindergarten but the competition now ceases for Early stage 1.

Reading - Sutherland Shire Libraries

We're excited to let you know that Sutherland Shire Libraries now has a simple online process for student memberships. This makes it easier than ever for your child to access a wide range of free educational resources.

Library membership gives students access to:

  • Thousands of eBooks, audiobooks, and online learning tools
  • Homework help and research databases
  • Fun reading challenges and events
  • Borrowing privileges at all nine Sutherland Shire Libraries locations

To sign your child up, simply visit the link below and complete the short registration form: 👉 Link

Once you've registered, you'll get an email with your child’s new membership number, which they can use right away for online resources. Their PIN will be the last four digits of their membership number. If your child already has a membership, there's an option to enter their existing number on the form.

Please note: Physical library cards are no longer mailed out. However, your child can visit any library branch to get one if they'd like. Alternatively, they can download the Library app and log in using their new membership number and PIN.

We encourage all families to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to support your child’s learning and foster their love of reading.

Bookwork

To keep you informed about your child's learning, Mathematics, English and Religion books will be sent home this Friday (12th September). We encourage you to take some time to review your child’s work and write a comment on the Parent Bookwork Record sheet (glued into student’s books). This is a great opportunity to stay updated on your child's progress and celebrate their achievements.
