PE Update – Term 2

Term 2 has been a wonderful and active time across all classes, with many highlights to celebrate.

Classes 5/6

Students participated in interschool sports this term, focusing on Lacrosse and Kickball. A major highlight was winning the Lacrosse Round Robin Carnival in Week 3. The Kickball Round Robin event will take place in Week 8, and we look forward to another exciting day of competition.

Class 1

This class worked on balancing, gymnastics, and skipping skills, complemented by fun tag games and obstacle courses. Their enthusiasm and energy have been a pleasure to experience.

Class 2

Students focused on spatial awareness and gymnastics, also paired with tag games and obstacle courses. It has been wonderful to see their abilities grow while enjoying their time outside.

Class 3

Teamwork was a central theme this term, developed through rounders, netball numbers, and revisiting gymnastics skills.

Class 4

Students enjoyed learning Lacrosse, Kickball, and Austag, along with a variety of other fun games such as “Narnia.”

Classes 5/6

The main focus remained on interschool sport, with continued work on Lacrosse and Austag, and the introduction of Kickball and Basketball. They also enjoyed activities like Netball Numbers, Soccer, Golden Child, and Narnia.

Overall Growth

Across all year levels, it has been a highlight to see students refine their honesty, fair play, teamwork, and sportsmanship skills throughout Term 2. I look forward to supporting their continued growth and development in Semester 2, 2024.
