From the Leadership Team

Staffing News 

Many of you will know Mrs Karly Voigt, who has been on leave this year. We can confirm that Karly has accepted a role at another school for next year, after providing support to them throughout this year.  We congratulate Karly and pray for her and her family as she embarks on this new chapter. 

Mrs Gretchen Watkins has also shared her resignation with us recently. Gretchen has been on extended leave; however, many children will know Mrs Watkins as a regular TRT, and also from her work in Mid-Year Reception last year. We may continue to see Mrs Watkins in her capacity as a TRT in future years. We extend our blessings to Gretchen and her young family for this year and beyond. 

2026 Intentions 

As we begin to plan for staffing in 2026, we encourage families to let us know if they are planning to move away or move schools at the end of the year. Remember that we have a term-in-advance policy, and whilst you still have plenty of time to let us know, we appreciate knowing as soon as you are able. 

Hats and play 

We are starting to see the sun occasionally shining through the cloudy weather forecasts and with it comes an increase in the UV rating. Now that we are in September, children need to have a school hat in order to participate in a number of activities. Children must have a hat in order to play outside at school and SPLASH and to participate in outdoor lessons for P.E. and occasionally other learning areas.  

We remind children and provide time to apply sunscreen at school and we would also encourage families apply sunscreen before leaving for school on days with a higher UV rating. Thank you for your support as we help our children to be safe in the sun.
