Mrs Rachel Galvin

Term 3 is an exciting term across the college, year 10 students have been considering their subject selections for year 11 and 12 and our seniors have been planning their next steps for their post-secondary endeavours.

Early entry programs at a range of universities are in full swing. Year 12 students are advised to keep a close eye on the Google Classroom to avoid missing important dates. Don’t leave your applications until the last minute and email Mrs Galvin if you require support.

STAGE 6 UNI TOUR

In the last week of term 2, Mr Chapman and I had the pleasure of taking 18 of our senior students on a Sydney/Newcastle University Tour. Over 4 days, we visited the University of Sydney, the University of Technology Sydney, the University of New South Wales, Macquarie University and the University of Newcastle.

The trip was a valuable learning experience with hands-on workshops, tours of accommodation and lots of Q&A regarding entry pathways, scholarships and much more! Here are some photos of our time away.

YEAR 10 SUBJECT SELECTION

There has been a future focused theme across year 10 so far this term with students recently making their subject selections for year 11 and 12. To support this process, we spent a day at UNE engaging in a range of workshops across areas such as Agriculture, Sports, Education, Health, Computer Technology and Humanities, here are some photos from the day.

Parents of year 10 have been invited to make their Stage 6 Enrolment Interview booking via Compass. These interviews will take place across week 6 with key members of the College leadership with the purpose of reviewing stage 6 patterns of study and student pathways goals.

WHITE CARD

Well done to the students who achieved their White Card certification earlier this term!
