The ARTS celebration!

ART,MUSIC,STEM & ITALIAN

On behalf of the Specialist team, Mrs Zaffina, Mr Steven, Miss Paige and Mrs Symeoy, I want to extend our thanks to our amazing students at the School the Good Shepherd for their outstanding work that they showcased to their families and friends at our school ‘Arts’ celebration. I couldn’t be more proud of the effort they put into their work, but also the excitement and passion when they were up on stage performing or when they discussing their work. A special thank you to Danielle Johnson (Ava in 1B’s mum) for helping with the face painting and to the community of parents that helped on the night led by Mrs Sanderson.

Our support team is the best. The learning support staff (LSO’s) help all year throughout our specialists classes. They see your children in action in Music, Stem, Italian and Art and put up an enormous amount of displays. We, the specialist team couldn’t perform our programs without their amazing support. Our teaching staff created their own class display and supported us on the evening so well. Our fantastic leadership team with Mrs D’Amato leading and supporting us so well gave us the opportunity create our arts celebration this year.

We just want to announce the winners of the raffle and also the winners of the key prize and thank you so much to all those that donated.

The winners are…

1ST Prize Resire Thomas (Pete Cromer Art work)

Also congratulations to Lara Hattrell in 2B for choosing the lucky key number which was number 18. Lara takes home an original Pete Cromer Art work. I also want acknowledge Romeo and Orlando‘s family for supplying the basket of art supplies for those that participated in the community leaf project. I appreciate everyone taking the time to create a leaf for this artwork that I will put together shortly and share with you. Congratulations to Eva who won this basket.

A big thankyou to Mauro for providing the Italian Music and to Gloria Clark, Creative Music, Food Family Passion and Melbourne Airport Ice cream truck. We appreciate you and your support.

Lastly, thank you for supporting the specialist programs at SOGS. We work hard to develop our students to become real life learners outside of the classroom environment. We aim to develop creative, confident and imaginative individuals where various talents can shine. We hope you all enjoyed the celebration of the ‘ARTS’ this year.

We value your feedback so please email ggarro@sogspgark.catholic.edu.au to make suggestions for future improvements.
