SSV State Athletics Championships - Mr Jay Baker

On Monday, October 16th Mary MacKillop Catholic Regional College had six students compete in The SSV State Athletics Championships at Albert Park. What a magnificent achievement it is to make it to this level and all students carried themselves with class as they took on the best from all around Victoria. Patrick Frayne of Year 8 competed in the Triple Jump and in challenging conditions with the rain tumbling down he managed to finish 6th with a best Jump of 10.64 metres. Maddie Herbert finished 8th in the Discus with a best throw of 22.37 metres and it was pleasing to see her attack the competition with a positive attitude. Our U/15 girls 4 x 100m relay team consisting of Lara Landry, Mathilda Joske, Heidi Nicholas and Gemma Meadley finished 6th in an excellent time of 58.38 seconds. 

Congratulations to all competing students for taking up the challenge and doing the College proud on the big stage. Also to the parents for assisting with transporting the students to and from the event your support is much appreciated!

Year 7 Boys and Year 8 Girls Table Tennis - Mrs. Julia Leslie

Our Year 7 Boys and Year 8 Girls headed over to Traralgon to compete in the SSV Gippsland Table Tennis tournament. Both teams coming runners-up! Well done everyone!

Rhylee travelled to NSW to compete in a Koori Surfing Competition, he came 1st in junior boys and open mens in the country!
