Reflective Prayer Space and Memorial Garden

Big thank you to Scott Youman and Scott McFarlane for the next stage of the Reflective Prayer Space and Memorial Garden.

We now have edging and base rock for our giant prayer beads and our 'House" Garden beds have soil! it is certainly taking shape and we could not do this without our community support.

Poor conduct on Bus Travel

It is with disappointment that I must add this to our newsletter, however, I have been informed of behaviours causing concern from some St Mary of the Angels students on school buses.

As a school we have discussed these concerns with Oxley Explorer buses and there have been a number of cases where families have received a warning of suspension of bus travel.  In addition, the coach company has highlighted the additional concern that some students are travelling on the 'free' bus service without having registered via Service NSW.

It is a requirement of all parents/carers to register their children for travel, please find the link HERE.

Additionally, please find the link for NSW Guidelines for Managing School Student Behaviour on Buses HERE.

These guidelines list the responsibilities of students, parent/carers, schools, bus drivers, bus operators and Transport NSW, as well as a code of conduct of behaviour.  Please view this document thoroughly if your children travel on any of the school bus services.

Mini Vinnies Christmas Appeal

St Vincent de Paul is committed to making Christmas a time to renew hope.

Vinnies continues to provide shelter, food, clothing, financial support, friendship and care for tens of thousands of people in NSW, but the need is still great and they need our help.

Together, we can renew hope this Christmas! We can all contribute to the St Mary of the Angels Mini Vinnies Christmas Appeal by donating Christmas hampers or other non-perishable food and hygiene products to the school for our wonderful Guyra Conference to collect and make into hampers and packs.

Sue Adams, of the St Vincent de Paul; Guyra Conference, will receive these donations at our whole school Mass on the 29th of November.

School Advisory Council

With the School Advisory Council AGM on the 9th November we are now seeking nominations from interested parties.

Sensitive Contact

Parents and carers are reminded to contact staff via the guyadmin@arm.catholic.edu.au email address. All medication updates need to go through guyadmin@arm.catholic.edu.au

However, as a school community, there will be times when there may be the need for sensitive information to be shared to a closed group of educators. If this is the case, please use guyprincipal@arm.catholic.edu.au as the contact email.  This ensures that there is traceability and continuity in the case of staff changes etc.

Blessings for a gentle week!
