Nutrition Week

Rowville Primary School celebrated Nutrition Week with enthusiasm! Students across all levels participated in a variety of activities throughout the week. Our Health and Wellbeing Working Party had students searching high and low for our mascot carrot. They were challenged to guess all sorts of fruits and vegetables in the feely boxes including… sweet potato, mango, pineapple, snow peas, cauliflower and lots more! The trivia quizzes each day had some tricky questions which made the children really think! The highlights of the week were the delicious smoothies sold in the Hole in the Wall and the free taste testing! The Cooking Collective baked some tasty zucchini and feta muffins for the students to try in the hope of including them in the canteen menu as a green item! The students really enjoyed them, and it was encouraging to see children try new healthy foods.
