Mid Term 4 Update

Friday 27 October was certainly a day to remember, with sunshine, smiles and slime amidst the serious sporting events and wonderful sea of colour. An enormous thank you to all the very generous donors. Exceeding our ambitious fundraising target, the final tally was $45,385.25 with an incredible 1040 individual donations. The Parents and Friends Group are indebted to the whole school community for getting behind this major fundraising drive, which will make a significant difference for years to come through new digital technology equipment and STEM facilities. Sincere thanks to all of the parent helpers on the day, to the Panthers Football Club and to the Happy Apple for their generous support of this and so many other events. A big thank you also to Tom Connell for his endless energy and enthusiasm, and the organising committee – Yvette Dugina, Naomi Southurst, Callan Tenabel and Sarah Connolly.

Rounding out the October activities for P+F was the inaugural Grandparents Day on Monday 30 October. With 350 Grandparents and Special People in attendance, the school was a buzz with many special moments created. Thank you to the teachers for their efforts in creating special classroom experiences and to the organising committee led by Katie Keating together with CarmelTabor, Jade Shillington, Felicity Thomas, Tom Connell and Cameron Warren and all who helped on the day. Special shout out to Mrs. Hodgetts for her leadership and support to make this a great success. Feedback from several grandparents confirmed this was a very enjoyable event.

Finally please save the date for our end of year celebration to bring together children and families for an after school sausage sizzle – Wednesday 6 th December at 3.25pm.
