Hello Families,

This year continues to move at a rapid speed! We are always finding new things to do around the service and are so excited to share these with the extended St Mary’s Community. Over the past two weeks our themes were “On The Farm” and “Sugar Station”.

I wanted to remind our families that, I (Swaye) set out on University Placement on the 26th of October. I will return to the service on November 20th! I am eager to come back and see all of the fun we can get up to in the last few weeks of the 2023 Academic Year!

Whilst I have been away, I know the children have had so much fun! It was amazing to come back during our Pupil Free Day to hear stories about what they had been doing. Most children shared that their highlights were colouring-in and making harma bead creations. I look forward to hearing more stories when I am officially back on the 20th! Until then I just have a couple reminders!

Sun Safety

As always in Term 4 it is required that children are wearing hats when engaging in outdoor play. Can I please ask parents and guardians that you remind your child to bring their hat over to After School Care so that we can go outside and enjoy all the sun has to offer safely! If preferred we have a tub at the service, your child is welcome to bring a spare sun safe hat that is named that they keep at the service and use throughout the course of the Term! Sunscreen will be applied before going outside every afternoon, if you child requires a particular sunscreen, please do not hesitate to let me know so that I can accommodate for this!

After School Care Cancellations

If your child is unwell or you/someone will be collecting them from school can I please request that you ensure you cancel your After School Care booking! This can be done either via the FullyBooked Parents Portal or by calling TheirCare’s Head Office (1300 072 410)! Fee’s for cancelled sessions can be waived when Medical Certificates are provided!

Over the next two weeks our weekly themes are “Disney Dreams” and “Occupation Station”. I can’t wait to share with the extended St Mary’s Community all that we get up to next!
