Years F-1

On Monday we had a look at some Melbourne Cup related activities. Students were given a horse and they were able to look at the jockeys silks and why they are so colourful. They had a chance to create their own and then use describing words to say what they looked like. They had lots of fun and thought it was very exciting. 

On Wednesday we had our first transition morning with the kinder students. The F/1's were super helpful and kind to the kinder students and really made them feel welcome. We spent the morning reading 'Where is the Green Sheep?' and creating our own sheep, making some pasta bracelets and we had a look around the school finishing with a play on the playground. The students were so friendly and it was amazing watching them being so supportive.
