This week's notes

Dear families and friends,

Working Bee

A big thank you to Simon Thomas, Tim Huf, Paul Coates and Jeremy Lewis who came to school on their day off on Tuesday to install the goal posts and the Year 6 posts, clear fallen trees and do some works to the playground areas.  We appreciate the time and effort that you all put in and for the organisation and collection of the posts, etc.  Also a big thank you to Alistair Bailey who donated the posts.

Melbourne Cup

Hope everyone had a great day off for the Melbourne Cup.  We held a sweep here at school and the winning horse went to Addison Nettleton with 'Without A Fight', 2nd place went to Tilly Cross with 'Soulcombe' and Miss P came 3rd with 'Sheraz.' Justin Coates won a prize for last place with his horse 'Magical Lagoon.'

End of Year Assessment

Over the next week teaching staff will be conducting end of year assessments. These are an essential tool in determining student progress throughout the year. It is important that student absences are kept to a minimum so testing is not disrupted. Your support is appreciated. Thank you.

Swimming Program- 10 Days To Go!

Our first Swimming Day is on Monday 20th November.

On swimming days we will be departing at 12:30pm from school and returning by approximately 2:30pm.

All dates can be found on the newsletter Calendar page.

Due to us receiving funding this year there will be no cost to families for our Swimming Program.  I am sure that this will be a great financial relief to families.  Tammy has put on a permission note on uEducateUs,  please log on and consent to your child being transported by bus and participating in the program.

Uniform Orders

2024 Uniform Order forms have been handed out.  If you are requiring any uniform for next year please return the order by Friday 17th November so Callie Leese can put in an order if required.  If you did not get an order form you can collect one from the table in the office.

We wish everyone who has entries in the Fleece and Flower Show the best of luck.

The Year 4/5/6 children are terribly excited to run the Cavendish PS Games Stall and we have had fun trialing each game and organising a workers roster. Thank you to everyone who donated to the Mystery Jar Draw, we had wonderful support and have over 50 jars to sell!

Have a great weekend
