Week 4, Term 4
On Friday, 20th of October, we attended a webinar held by Parks Victoria, in conjunction with Water Week to launch a book by a local author – Jordan Charters, titled ‘Sprinkle Streams Ahead’. The book’s main character ‘Sprinkle’ was a droplet of water. We followed their journey from the mountains of Victoria, down through streams and rivers, and pipes, out into Port Philip Bay. Along the way Sprinkle learns about conservation of our precious waterways (and animals) as they met a few of Parks Victoria’s faunal emblems, including Alpine Tree Frogs, platypuses and cuttlefish. The author then spoke about her writing process and took a Q&A from the schools who were remotely attending the session.
Thankyou so much to everyone for all the donations to our stalls so far! If you would also like to help out in the running of your child's stall, please feel free to email their teacher and they will discuss a suitable time with you - thankyou for your assistance!
